My Dear Reader…

The past two months of July here at our Danish Homestead have been humid, warm and rainy, and this one, our third one, seems to be no exception.

Now I am glad I decided to go for early potato crops this year, as it has already been necessary to cut off the first plant tops in order to avoid blight on the roots and the potatoes.

This is the first year of our vegetable garden, and we are enjoying eating something green from it every single day. Even though it has gotten a bit away from us in terms of “weeds” (like the poppies on the picture), we are thoroughly enjoying the abundance it is already bringing to us in its first year.

As for our third summer here, I have come to notice a peculiar change in me...
