I subscribed because I had finally found someone who was sharing their personal experience living in the Danish countryside and I wanted to live vicariously through them. I stayed because I enjoy your voice and point of view.
I love reading about your life, the different stages and things you go through, as motherhood and homesteading is often changing as the children grow and the seasons change. I also love to watch your writing journey unfold ❤️
Thank you Melissa ❤️ Hearing back from you is so so valuable to me. It reminds me of the true core of my writing: To share our homestead journey in all of its simpleness and beauty and hardships. It is a slower read, but it is important and valuable. Thank you.
Also, I enjoy reading how both your family and your house are progressing through the seasons and through the years.
I actually enjoy it all 😊
I live in Denmark too, and also out in the countryside, with two small children close in their age to yours. Maybe, I feel like we are kindred souls or something, even though we never met and I actually don’t know you 😊
Please, keep writing. I look forward to holding a book of yours in my hands one day.
P.S. it seems like the poll allows for one choice per question only. There were several questions where I’d otherwise pick several answers. For example., the one about what would be great to hear even more of from you about. Just so you know 😊
Thank you so much, Elena, for your unwavering support ❤️ I will absolutely keep writing! It is so lovely to hear back from kindred spirits like yourself, it really keeps me excited to share. Oh, and the polls did not include for more options unfortunately!
I subscribed to hear a personal account of a life on the other side of the world from me & get a feel for life in the country in Denmark. Also…i love stories about cottages!!
I enjoyed your renovation memories and living through the seasons. I appreciate your vulnerability and openness.
I see your writing as straightforward, honest, and clear. I think many of us are interested in your homestead stories because we live a fast paced life in cities, without the opportunity to live as you do. You and Herluf have started from scratch gradually moving forward to improve the quality of your homestead, with hard work and determination. It is both admirable and a peaceful way to exist.
Thank you so much, Catherine Ann ❤️ Your comments always make me in a better mood, thank you for taking the time to write them. For me, I tend to get caught up in the Substack guru’s idea of “providing value” and “solving issues”, and I think: Nobody is interested in my boring everyday life. But actually, I think a lot of people crave the slower pace and the more peaceful stories, as you say. I will save your comment for a rainy day.
Your wholesome lifestyle is valuable for many to learn about. Your hardwork, sacrifices, and work ethic are most admirable in today’s consumptive world.
My husband and I (Canadians) were fortunate to tour Denmark several years ago; we admire the Danish way. 💕🐞🐝🐌

I love the way you write, Anne. Just love it.
The rhythm of your texts, almost music-like.
Also, I enjoy reading how both your family and your house are progressing through the seasons and through the years.

Thank you Megan, I am so happy to hear this as I love sharing about our little cottage life through the seasons and changes we make ❤️
